Time Goes By So Slowly

I created this video for Kristin, Caitie, Allibeth and myself for all the times we've shared so that they will never be forgotten.

Time goes and drifts slowly by creating an endless memory. What we hold onto is the time we share: the seconds, the minutes, the hours, the days, the years. Yet we're always drifting, near and far we go on, following the clock that ticks away. But if we could slow that time we shared down? I have always wondered this and yet can't complete this task. Yet I can slow down my time to appreciate the time I share with others. Like an unchained melody time can do so much. Is it still mine or do I share it with the ones I need to love. They need my love and I need theirs and to gain that love in time you must first give your time. That way when it drifts, time I mean, you can catch it.

Life is full of imaginings, "what if's." And all of these things we would like to imagine being real never are right. Wrong! Yes, indeed fantasy is never real but, we can still dream-imagine. We can accomplish anything we put our minds to which is what imagining is. We can take the future in our hands and several times we will fail. But we imagined it happening and because it didn't we gave up on it. Imagine the future and make it part of your world- so to speak. A little imagination never hurt anyone. It's the ones who want you to fail that tell you you'll never accomplish anything because they never imagined that you could. Case in point they have already failed because realism, in some cases, gets you nowhere. And why you ask. It's because realists don't think outside of the box because they've been in it for too long that they can't, simply, imagine.

Wonder Beyond Our Reach

It often seems we wonder about things that are far, maybe too far, beyond our reach. But are they really? America just elected the first African American President. People wondered about this ever happening and they thought for any one man of color to reach this goal they would never see it happen. As it has and did happen should we wonder more if there really is such a word as impossible when it comes to setting goals and reaching them. Nothing seems or is beyond the reach of any person now, now that history has been made. So when wonder about things beyond our reach perhaps we should relate to what we're thinking is beyond our reach and think about about not thinking about "what if's".

Laugh at yourself, then no one can laugh at you.

Truth is in finding your own self image and not caring what others think of it. Honestly, lying about yourself for a while may get you somewhere but ultimately it's get's you nowhere.

If we all hope to achieve something we never will. We have to take steps in every direction to find what we are hoping to achieve. It seems everyone wants a "piece of the pie" but that slice is not available to them so they complain about it and hope they are first in line to get that slice next turn around. This accomplishes nothing. Goals need to be made to follow so make easy goals at first and as you accomplish these goals by doing them instead of hoping you'll do them you will find it easier to accomplish more. Everything in time gets accomplished if you have prepared the right steps to complete your goals. Do not hope. Just do.

Dreams Unseen

In dreams there are things seen and unseen. I choose to follow the unseen things in my dreams. Therefore I never know where I'm going ,with whatever I choose, until I get there. If I choose too quick, I'll choose the light load to carry. This in turn might be fine, but if all goes awry, I'll end up carrying the heavy load-the seen dream. The unseen dream is light but I have to choose what to load up onto the pile of things I'm going to have to carry. I cannot carry a dream but I can hope and pray that nothing goes awry. So in that case I carry something.
